Experienced Architect Joins Leff Construction Team

(Sebastopol, CA) February 9, 2011

Architect Marilyn Standley has joined Leff Construction Design/Build Firm in Sebastopol. Standley’s wealth of experience and creative design talent prove her to be a valuable addition to Leff Construction’s award-winning team.

Since earning her degree in architecture at Montana State University, Standley has been active in the construction community. She is a member of Construction Specifications Institute’s Redwood Empire Chapter, the North Coast Builders’ Exchange, Redwood Empire Remodeler's Association, and Sebastopol’s Chamber of Commerce. Standley has also been certified as a Green Building Professional through Sonoma State University and Build-It-Green. She is a Charter Member of Solar Sonoma County and often attends Efficiency First monthly think tank meetings. Her twelve years of community service on the Sebastopol Planning Commission have given her an understanding of zoning regulations, urban planning issues, and the need for projects to fit their context. Standley also maintains her own architectural practice in Sebastopol.

“I especially enjoy working with homeowners to understand their goals and how to best enhance their lives by creating a sense of home as a haven,” explains Standley. Remodeling and re-inventing space are specialties of Leff Construction, as are green building and working with small spaces, making Standley a perfect fit. “I love problem-solving and the challenge of having to work within given parameters, which is typical of remodeling work.
